A while ago the inhabitants of Longyearbyen were invited to join a project arranged by Philips. All the participants were handed out a free wake-up light, and we are supposed to tell them about our experiences using it during the winter. If you don't know it our town Longyearbyen is situated so far north, and so close to the north pole that we have no sun but total darkness during more than 3 months in winter time. We call it the dark season.
But now we have this wake-up light to help us get up in the morning and stay more awake during the day. It will be interesting to see the effects.......stay tuned for reports as the difference between day and night disappears...........
If you want to know more about the project - watch the trailer below.
